The network cable is shielded and of excellent quality, so it can be used for all network purposes where a high-speed connection is desired. For example, for connecting a computer, TV, or gaming console to an internet router or switch. The CAT 6a standard can handle a bandwidth of up to 500 MHz and up to 10 Gbit/s.

The cable is better protected against both high and low-frequency interference than regular CAT 5e cables or unshielded CAT 6 cables.
