For aerial installations, two types of connectors are used, the regular antenna connectors used in radio and TV equipment, wall sockets, etc. and F connectors. In practice, antenna cables with standard coax antenna connectors are always used in the form of a male-female cable, i.e. a cable with a male connector on one end and female connector at the other. The difference between antenna cables used for radio and TV is simply that it is reversed.
Cables with F connectors are mainly used between professional amplifiers, splitters, filters and satellite equipment. These cables can naturally be supplied in regular F-connector to F-connector versions, but also as F-connector to antenna connector cables that can be used directly from a professional splitter for a TV.
