Universal Serial Bus as it is called - Used primarily for connecting IT equipment to computers, such as printers, external hard drives, scanners, digital cameras, etc. They are also some of the most widely used charging cables and general connectivity to smartphones, tablets, etc.
USB cables are also used in the Hi-Fi context, between a computer and a
DAC, for digital audio transmission, in the purest form.
Basically, there are three things to keep in mind when buying a cable.
•
What type of USB connector should be on the cable - Which USB connector uses the products that the cable should work with
•
How fast should the cable transfer data - Charge a device or transfer large amounts of data
•
What should the cable have for special features - HDMI, DVI, Thunderbolt, Power Delivery, etc.
