This ensures that your equipment does not suffer damage, for example by lightning strikes and at the same time that all disturbances that could be in one's mains do not interrupt your music.

On the other hand, if you need more power outlets under the bed, an extension cord for a couple of lamps or have electricity in the garden, so that the fan can stand right next to the chair.
