The radio provides access to DAB, DAB+ and FM stations, and with built-in Bluetooth you can stream your favorite music wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet. The front grill is made of strong, durable ABS plastic and has a refined, textured finish. With its natural speaker, the R1 radio delivers a deep, rich sound. It is equipped with a specially designed 3.5" neodymium speaker driver and an amplifier that delivers 9 watts of nominal power. This combination ensures a well-balanced sound across the entire frequency range, making it a pleasure to listen to both music and speech.
Radio and streaming
The R1 radio gives you access to a large selection of radio stations with its DAB, DAB+ and FM receiver. You can easily search for and save your favorite stations with Ruark's RotoDial control knob. In addition to the radio, the R1 also has built-in Bluetooth so you can stream your favorite music, podcasts or other audio content directly from your smartphone, tablet or computer.
Alarm clock and additional functions
The R1 radio is also equipped with a practical alarm function. You can set a dual alarm, which can either wake you up with a standard alarm sound or your favorite radio station. It also has a snooze and sleep timer function. There is also a USB charging port so you can charge your smartphone or tablet directly from the radio.
Accessories
For even greater flexibility, you can purchase a BackPack II battery and a carrying strap. With the BackPack III you can enjoy up to 12 hours of wireless playback, making the R1 the perfect portable radio. The carrying strap, made of robust leather, allows you to easily take your R1 with you wherever you go.
