On-ear, In-ear or around-ear?

It can be difficult to choose which type of headphones to choose, as today there is a wide range of different models and designs on the market. JBL offers a wide range of different in-ear models, which are perfect for those of you who want to take your music with you on the go, without your JBL headphones having to take up a lot of space when you're not using them.

This type is available both with cable in the form of a mini-jack plug, as well as fully wireless models with Bluetooth connection. What all the wireless models have in common is that they come with a charging case, where the headphones can also be stored when not in use, so that they are always charged and ready for use with many hours of playing time.

You will usually could get between 4-8 hours of music listening on one charge, where there are another 2-3 charges in a case for a pair of JBL headphones. Most modern JBL headphones can today be charged with a normal USB-C plug and a mobile charger without problems. Some even offer the wireless QI standard for charging.

On-ear headphones, as the name suggests, sit on your ears and therefore do not close tightly around them. Like in-ear headphones, this type is often used for training, and is usually always wireless with a Bluetooth connection. Note that not all JBL headphones can withstand moisture, water and sweat. If you want the ultimate sound experience, you can advantageously choose a pair of around-ear headphones from JBL. These close around the ears and thereby a large part of the sound from outside does not come in and disturb your music. Children's headphones with limited volume

A child's ears are very sensitive, and no one wants to suffer hearing damage as a child, or offer this to their own children. To accommodate just this, JBL has a large range of headphones that have been specially developed to be used safely by children.

In addition to being physically smaller, in order to fit on a child's head, there is a built-in limitation in the volume that the headphones can reproduce. In other words, it is not possible to turn up too high a pair of children's headphones, as they are limited to being able to reproduce sound at a maximum of 85 dB from the factory.

These headphones for children are available like the adults models, both in wired and wireless versions. Bluetooth is of course used for the wireless models, while a normal 3.5 mm mini-jack must be connected on the wired versions - possibly with an adapter depending on the phone / tablet type.

In addition, there are the children's models by JBL headphones also both as on-ear and around-ear, so that you or your child can choose whether they should cover the ears completely, or simply sit outside so that some sound from outside can also be heard.

How to connect JBL headphones?

Since the selection of JBL headphones is as black as it is, and there is a sea of ??different on-ear, in-ear and around-ear models, there is not one common way in which these are connected to your smartphone or tablet.

In most cases, however, a button must be held down after or when you switch on your JBL headphones. This puts the headphones in pairing mode and can be found in the list of Bluetooth devices on your tablet or smartphone.

This button is usually next to, or built into, the on/off button for your JBL haycall back. On fully wireless models of JBL earphones, there will usually always be a button on the charging case, which must be held down before your in-ear earphones can be taken out of it and used.

On mid-range and the more expensive models of JBL headphones, an application can also be downloaded. By downloading this onto your smartphone or tablet, you have the option to adjust your sound via an equalizer, as well as check for firmware updates etc.
