Highlights:• Newly developed VRDS mechanism improves CD playback by reducing vibrations• Compatible with MQA full decoding for high-resolution audio playback • 10MHz clock input allows synchronization with external clocks for better sound quality • Dedicated toroidal core transformers ensure stable power supply • Semi-floating mounting minimizes unwanted vibrations and improves sound quality • Includes digital outputs for flexible connection to external DACs • Celebrates TEAC's 70th anniversary with this memorable CD transport model The VRDS-701T CD Transport:CD player with VRDS mechanism represents a culmination of TEAC's commitment to audio quality, marking their 70th anniversary. This model introduces the newly developed VRDS mechanism, a TEAC original, which drastically reduces rotational vibrations and other unwanted mechanical vibrations. This is achieved by clamping the CD onto an aluminum turntable which effectively stabilizes the rotation and maximizes the inertial mass. This innovation leads to a significant improvement in sound quality by minimizing disc read errors.Using VRDS in conjunction with advanced digital outputs and the ability to synchronize with an external via a 10MHz clock input, the VRDS-701T sets new standards for sonic precision and integrity in your audio system. It is designed for use with an external DAC, such as the UD-701N from the same series, to exploit its full potential, but it is also compatible with other DACs of your choice. In addition to the technological innovation, the VRDS-701T is built with unparalleled attention to detail to control vibration. This includes a semi-floating mounting of the CD mechanism and the use of high capacity toroidal core transformers dedicated to both the digital control section and the CD mechanism to ensure a stable power supply. In addition, the VRDS is supported by a bridge section made of light but stiff materials to prevent vibration transmission, contributing to the dynamic and wide sound. The device supports MQA CD playback via a built-in MQA core decoder, which ensures compatibility with high-resolution audio formats. With its comprehensive design for vibration control, including three supporting pinpoint feet made from machined steel, the VRDS-701T ensures a listening experience that is as pure and undisturbed as possible. Ultimately, the VRDS-701T represents TEAC's dedication to sound quality, innovation and precision, making it an excellent choice for audiophiles looking to upgrade their sound system with a top-of-the-line CD transport. Brand description - Teac
TEAC was founded in Japan in 1953 under the name Tokyo Television Acoustic Company. In 1956, an engineer named Katsuma Tani and his brother had the idea to develop an improved reel-to-reel tape recorder based on their experiences with similar products. As a result, the company was restructured and became known as Tokyo Electro-Acoustic Company, or TEAC, as it is known today. Manuals and user guides for Teac productsWhen purchasing a Teac product, a user guide or instruction is usually provided in the following languages: English. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that a printed manual / user guide is included in the product box, but most often it can be found on the manufacturer´s website.
