God pris!! i started with an ortofon 2m Red that sounded OK, upgraded to a blue, and was planning to upgrade to a bronze. during the black friday period, the 2m black was only a few euros more at av-connection than a 2m bronze in the netherlands, so i jumped to the offer and ordered the ortofon 2m black. this is a really great upgrade that i recommend to anyone willing to pay for the black cartidge. all my records sound so much better than with the 2m blue and tracking is also much better. not only the audiofile records and special japanes pressings from years back have really come alive again. the cartridge is installed in a technics sl 1500, used with the build-in pre-amp and played through my alesis mixer into adam a5x nf-monitors, so it is really in your face and every glitch comes through. the shibata needle is more versatile than i remembered, and all records sound better with less glitches, noises or cracles. this is a great element in all perpectives
Brand description - Ortofon
More than 100 years ago, the great Danish success story began, which later became the Ortofon we know today. On October 9, 1918, the two Danish engineers Axel Petersen (1887-1971) and Arnold Poulsen (1889-1952) founded the 'Electric Phono Film Company' in Copenhagen along with a few forward-thinking businessmen who wanted to financially support the organization. Their goal was to explore the possibility of high-class sound recording and to develop one of the first sound-synchronized film systems in the world. Manuals and user guides for Ortofon productsUnfortunately, as manufacturers do not make manuals or guides in all languages, we cannot guarantee that a local language manual is included for the item.
