Goldring is a pioneer in hi-fi, renowned for quality and innovation for over a century. Founded in Berlin in 1906 by Czech brothers Heinrich and Julius Scharf, Goldring began by producing components for the gramophone industry and quickly became synonymous with expertise and reliability. In the 1920s, their Juwel Electro sound box became an icon of quality, laying the foundation for their global reputation.
After relocating to England in 1933, Goldring continued technological advancements, particularly in electric pickups. The 1950s saw the revolutionary Goldring 500 pickup, which became popular at the BBC and stood as a symbol of high-quality hi-fi. Collaboration with Lenco in the 1960s led to the GL75 turntable, a timeless classic.
Goldring has maintained its position as a key player in the modern vinyl world by launching advanced MM and MC cartridges, like the Ethos and the E series, ensuring new generations access high-quality sound. From its early days to today’s products, Goldring remains a driving force in hi-fi, blending heritage with cutting-edge technology.
