Sustainability at AV-Connection

At AV-Connection, we are committed to a greener future. This commitment is reflected daily in our workflows and through various initiatives that guide our customers toward more sustainable product choices. Our goal is to make a difference in both the small and large decisions we make.

Small Steps Make a Difference

We have always recycled cardboard and packing materials in our many daily shipments to minimize waste and reduce our resource consumption. Additionally, all surplus cardboard, metal, plastic, and electronic waste is sorted, recycled, and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner, accounted for through Dansk Producent Ansvar. We are also a member of Vana, which helps us participate in the circular economy for recycling.

Solar Energy

As part of the ongoing expansion of our headquarters in Sønderborg, we have invested in a large solar power system. This renewable energy source helps us reduce our carbon footprint and contributes to lowering our daily energy consumption in operations.

Green Transport with GLS and PostNord

Our shipping providers, GLS and PostNord, are both committed to ambitious climate goals with short- and long-term science-based targets (SBTs) to ensure that their CO2 reduction strategies align with the latest climate neutrality targets and the path to emissions-free delivery.

The “Green Leaf” Icon – Making It Easy to Choose Sustainably

Have you noticed the green leaf on our products? This label is our way of highlighting products where the manufacturer has focused on sustainability, making it easier for you to make environmentally friendly choices. To earn the "Green Leaf" label, a product must meet at least one of the following requirements:

• Modular design, allowing for battery or other essential components to be replaced to extend the product's lifespan.
• A significant percentage of the product is made from recycled materials.
• The brand has a strong climate policy.For these products, sustainable packaging is also a priority, with more cardboard and less plastic used to further reduce environmental impact.

We are continuously working to reduce our carbon footprint and remain open to new opportunities and initiatives that can improve our workflows and make them even more sustainable.
