The Magnetar UDP800 is a high-end 4K UHD Blu-ray player designed to deliver a premium audio and visual experience. Equipped with the professional Media Tek MT8581 quad-core chipset, it ensures razor-sharp picture quality and full support for 4K Ultra HD, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.The player supports a wide range of formats, including 4K UHD discs, Blu-ray, DVD, SACD, and CD. It can also play media files via USB or network and upscale lower resolution videos to 4K. With Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos, and DTS, you’ll experience fully immersive sound, bringing you as close to a cinema experience as possible.

Magnetar UDP800 - Built to Sound Great!

A brushed aluminum front and a rigid 1.6 mm double-layer chassis construction create a solid foundation for any audio and visual task. This is supported by a sturdy 3 mm steel plate at the bottom of the player, helping to reduce vibrations and noise during playback. All key components, such as the CD mechanism and power supply, are also thoroughly shielded individually to reduce external magnetic fields.

For the purest possible sound playback, the UDP800 uses a 4-layer PCB circuit, where each channel is designed with independent wiring. Two Burr-Brown PCM 1795 DAC processors are used for two-channel D/A decoding, with the left and right channels handled separately. The UDP800 also comes with gold-plated XLR and RCA connectors for easy balanced or unbalanced connections, and it features a Pure Audio mode for a uncompromised audio experience. The Magnetar UDP800 can decode DSD64/128, multi-channel DSD64, and 192kHz/24-bit PCM formats, with support for AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC, and WAV audio files.

The engineers at Magnetar have carefully selected a custom-made 60W high-power, low-noise transformer for the UDP800. The transformer features a two-stage filter design and is paired with Japanese Rubycon electrolytic capacitors to achieve the high transient response required by surround sound and high-resolution audio.

In other words, the Magnetar UDP800 is a true masterpiece, weighing nearly 7 kg, with great user-friendliness that will excel whether it’s music or movies on the menu.
