This unit is equipped with the ground-breaking TEAC Reference OCXO, an Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator that ensures minimal temperature effects, which is essential for accurate clock generation. With a frequency stability within ±3ppb and a precision of ±0.1ppm, the CG-10M-X provides an incredibly accurate 10MHz clock signal for digital players and DAC devices. The device is designed with four gold-plated BNC output connectors, allowing for the connection of up to four devices simultaneously. Each circuit is isolated to prevent crosstalk, and a buffer amplifier in each circuit ensures that the signal waveform remains intact, even when shared between multiple devices. The CG-10M-X also includes an analog upper stability meter that makes it easy for the user to monitor the temperature stability of the oscillator. The high-efficiency toroidal core transformer supplies constant current to maintain the clock's accuracy. Further improvements include a 3-point support foot for better vibration isolation and a semi-floating top plate for optimal sound quality. TEAC was founded in Japan in 1953 under the name Tokyo Television Acoustic Company. In 1956, an engineer named Katsuma Tani and his brother had the idea to develop an improved reel-to-reel tape recorder based on their experiences with similar products. As a result, the company was restructured and became known as Tokyo Electro-Acoustic Company, or TEAC, as it is known today.
Their products, which include tape recorders, turntables, and floppy drives, are well-known among many audio enthusiasts and have survived alongside the digital age. TEAC is synonymous with quality and thoroughness at reasonable prices.
